MediPaw® Healing Slim Protective Veterinary Dog Boots for indoor use, provide superior open-wound healing for dogs and cats, thanks to their soft, antimicrobial bamboo and nanosilver lining. This lining helps to reduce bacterial threats, and is suitable for burns, skin punctures, hotspots, and other similar injuries.
Medical doctors, athletes, and even famous bandage companies improve healing with nanosilver and bamboo fabric, and now the Medipaw® Slim provides the same benefits in a protective veterinary boot!
Indicated for dog and cat open-wound treatment, including:
- Burns
- Degloving
- Excessive licking and irritation
- Hot spots
- Lick granulomas
- Punctures
Note: The inner fabric is very soft therefore, less likely to stick than cotton, for example, and it will assist in wicking away moisture. However, Healing Slim Boots are recommended for use on non-productive wounds. These boots are NOT waterproof but can be worn inside the MediPaw Rugged X-Boot for outdoor use.
Each boot is sold individually.
Features:
- Breathable nylon shell
- Soft, antimicrobial bamboo and silver lining
- Machine washable/hang dry only
- Upper drawstring closure
- Adjustable elastic and secure Velcro® straps
- Reflective strap
- Scuff Guard
- Durable non-skid rubberised sole
Going outdoors?
- We recommend using a Rugged X-Boot to cover the Healing Slim Boot during inclement weather
Why the MediPaw® Boot?
- Requires fewer dressing changes and re-wraps
- Results in fewer complications from wet bandages
- Makes walking outside convenient, quick, and easy
- Helps to prevent chewing, licking, or scratching of wounds
- Eliminates the stress of an Elizabethan Collar
MediPaw boots help your pets recover from surgeries, injuries and other wounds easily and comfortably. They are not designed for ongoing or extended use. Boots, in general, should be worn under supervision for bathroom breaks and short walks and should be removed frequently to check the boot inside to ensure there is no moisture near the wound.
Directions for use:
Monitor the wound at least 2 to 3 times per day (more often in warmer climates) for signs of infection: foul odour, swelling, redness, pain, heat, discharge.
Monitor boot for slippage, wet/damp boot or lining, chafing.
* Tip: Turn the healing slim boot inside out to spot clean or throw in the washing machine. Be sure to hang dry and keep a second healing slim boot handy for use during drying time.
